Josefina Borad – Structural Civil Engineer

Education:

Structural Civil Engineer, degree issued by UdelaR (Republic´s University), and has an MSc. in International Project Management from the Glasgow Caledonian University, Great Britain

Brief:

Josefina Borad brings to RCS her expertise implementing and executing BIM (Building Information Modeling ) into industrial and civil infrastructure works sectors. From the role of Head of Planning and Development, she leads initiatives to improve processes and long-term development of the company, and is responsible for the annual business planning and monitoring of the progress of general and business units’ strategic objectives. She also participates as a Project Manager in strategic projects.

Since 2016 he is responsible for promoting the use of the BIM methodology within CSI, working as a BIM advisor in projects and executing the BIM CSI Plan that includes training, pilots and prototypes, generation of standard documents and systematization of the BIM process in the projects of the company.

She has 12 years of experience in engineering projects, with focus in industrial and civil infrastructure works sectors. She has performed roles involving project structural engineering, on site engineering, works supervision and Project Management of large scale projects in Uruguay, Paraguay and England.
