National Water Quality Initiative
The USDA/NRCS plans to invest $25 million to help agricultural producers improve water quality in 187 high-priority streams and rivers across the country and three of these are in Florida! The Deep Creek, Clarks Creek, and Little Scurlock Creek Watersheds. These watersheds are located within Putnam, St. Johns, Jackson, and Washington counties.
If you are a farmer or rancher located within these watersheds, you can apply for technical and financial assistance for projects that will help improve water quality. The deadline is April 15th.
Royal Consulting Services has extensive experience designing water quality projects that qualify for such funding and assisting agricultural operators in obtaining cost-share funding with multiple agencies on the state and federal level. Check out our project features for Rafter T Ranch, a project designed and implemented by RCS that won funding through the FRESP and NE-PES initiatives.
